Who Invented Table Tennis

When was ping pong invented? The invention of ping pong is one that is not attributed to a sole person. The game was originally played in England in the 19th century, and no one knows the name of the inventor of table tennis. However, there are parts of ping pong that can be attributed to certain sources, such as the ping pong ball. The name of the person who invented the ping pong ball is Charles Barter, and he created a hollow ball made of vellum to replace the cork ball that was originally used. It was then that the name of ping pong was invented, as he patented this name based on the noise the ball made when it was hit.

Then, later, the ping pong balls were changed again, and the name of the person who invented table tennis celluloid balls was James Gibb. When ping pong was invented, the original rules and equipment used was much different than it is today. There have been many names who invented table tennis extras and products to make the game easier and more fun. This means that the person who invented ping pong ball dispensers and the person who invented the table tennis tri-fold table that allows for three players at one time both contributed something to the sport. The name of the inventor of table tennis paddles as we know them today was E.C. Goode, who invented table tennis paddles just after 1900 (not long after the celluloid balls were discovered).

Then, as the game became more popular and there was more ability to create items the way people wanted them, as well as offer a wider selection of choices regarding equipment, more tables were invented. The person who invented table tennis folding tables made extreme headway as this allows for play nearly anywhere in a home without a large storage space being necessary. This was followed by the innovation of the person who invented multi-games, including combination games such as a pool table with a table tennis top attachment. Then, with the advent of videogames, there was the most innovative idea by the person who invented table tennis for the Atari. Known simply as Pong, this game was loved among all Atari players. Now, the game of table tennis has been created for almost any type of game system and is a popular computer game available in many forms as well.
