Real Tennis

When playing real tennis, you will be playing on a normal tennis court. While it is often simply termed tennis, with table tennis and platform tennis popularity steadily increasing, it is best to refer to the game as real tennis. A real tennis court is rectangular in shape, and the tennis court size is 78 feet long and 27 feet wide. These tennis court dimensions stay the same whether singles or doubles are being played. The tennis court size dimension that applies to each person or each team will change—half the size for a single player or a quarter of the size for a double player.

Tennis court construction for real tennis is done using one of four types of materials—grass, clay, indoor courts and outdoor courts on what is known as “hard” courts. The tennis court surface will often vary according to where the real tennis court is located as well as the financial position of whoever is putting the tennis court in. If tennis court repair is ever needed, there are many companies that will offer this service. They will often have the option of tennis court paint or tennis court lighting repair if this is needed. When new tennis court loghts are needed, these can be obtained through tennis court equipment supply companies.

In real tennis, tennis court supplies may simply consist of the net and racquets, but many people playing real tennis also like to have tennis ball shooters or launchers. These can help a real tennis player practice their returns and see if their tennis court dimension of hits is right for the tennis court measurement. If they can’t get the ball over the net, or they keep hitting the ball out of bounds, they know they need to practice and work on their real tennis skills. As with any sport, knowing the rules of real tennis is necessary for good game play, but the only way to really get better at real tennis is to practice. By going to real tennis courts and playing as often as possible, a player can get better every time they play. The sport of real tennis is also an active one, and makes for an excellent way to receive exercise while having fun playing a game all at the same time. This is only one of the appealing qualities of real tennis, and if doubles are played, the friendship and camaraderie among players is another.
